About the Instructional Designer Role
CareerFirst Company is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on creating high-quality, engaging digital and blended learning experiences. The role leverages adult learning principles and current instructional technologies to translate complex information into effective learning assets that enhance employee performance and support business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of learning solutions. Key duties include:
- Conducting needs assessments in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to identify performance gaps and establish measurable learning objectives.
- Designing comprehensive learning journeys, course architectures, and blended learning strategies that integrate e-learning, instructor-led training, and performance support.
- Developing detailed scripts, screen-by-screen storyboards, and interactive concepts, outlining text, media, graphics, and programming requirements.
- Applying established instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM, Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation, or Bloom’s Taxonomy to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Building interactive and responsive e-learning modules using industry-standard authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, or Adobe Captivate.
- Creating or sourcing high-quality visual elements, including graphics, basic animations, instructional videos, and audio voiceovers.
- Packaging and publishing e-learning content in compliance with SCORM ***** or xAPI standards for Learning Management System (LMS) integration.
- Designing knowledge checks and course evaluations to gather learner feedback, analyze course effectiveness, and facilitate content iteration.
Required Qualifications
Candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in instructional design.
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of adult learning theories and extensive experience in designing and developing digital learning solutions. Proficiency with rapid authoring tools and multimedia development is essential. Experience with LMS integration and evaluation methodologies is also required.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
