Job Description

Role Summary

AIQU is seeking an Interim Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Advisor to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in risk advisory and ERM, focused on developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks.

ERM Framework Development

  • Map the organization's end-to-end value chain and core processes to ensure the risk taxonomy directly reflects business value generation.
  • Establish a clean, multi-level risk hierarchy, including L1 categories (Strategic, Operational, Financial, Compliance, Technology Risk) with detailed L2/L3 subcategories designed for accountability without administrative complexity.
  • Map risk categories to the existing organizational structure, corporate values, and lines of accountability, ensuring every identified risk has a clear executive owner.
  • Review the taxonomy for logical gaps, functional overlaps, and duplicate labels to maintain a clean data model.
  • Embed the taxonomy into daily business operations by linking it to internal controls, risk events, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), reporting lines, and overall risk appetite.

Risk Assessment and Lifecycle Design

  • Build a comprehensive assessment matrix using four risk dimensions: Likelihood, Impact/Severity, Velocity, and Interdependency.
  • Create a unified scoring model that synthesizes these dimensions into actionable risk ratings (Low, Medium, High, Critical).
  • Establish clear guidelines for three tiers of assessment: Qualitative, Semi-Quantitative, and Quantitative.
  • Design and document the formal ERM lifecycle: Establish Context, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Evaluation, Risk Treatment, Monitoring & Review, Communication & Reporting.

AI Integration for Predictive Risk

  • Design blueprints for integrating AI-driven tools into the ERM program, enabling predictive risk identification rather than purely retrospective reporting.
  • Formulate requirements for NLP tools to automate risk sensing.
  • Conceptualize early warning systems and automated KRI tracking dashboards driven by AI to flag threshold breaches in real time.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Active Consultant, Manager, or Senior Manager in Risk Advisory / ERM.
  • Deep, practical knowledge of global risk standards, including the COSO ERM Framework and ISO 31000.
  • Proven capability in quantitative modeling (*, Monte Carlo, VaR) and a strong conceptual grasp of how AI/ML models can optimize risk management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of advising executive teams and translating complex risk data into business strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to build structured corporate programs from the ground up within tight, high-pressure timelines.
