About the IT Network Specialist Role

Water Transmission Company is seeking an experienced IT Network Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in network operations and management. The role is focused on ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the company's network infrastructure, aligning with established policies and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

The IT Network Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the company's network. Key duties include:

• Ensuring all network operations adhere to approved policies, processes, and procedures.
• Identifying and implementing improvements in systems, cost optimization, and overall productivity and efficiency.
• Maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards, including those related to Human Capital, Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), Risk, and Cybersecurity.
• Escalating and ensuring timely resolution of network-related issues.
• Applying network configuration standards for consistent deployment of routing and switching protocols.
• Conducting network assessments and performance checks to identify and resolve latency or connectivity issues.
• Performing routine maintenance and upgrades on network devices to ensure availability, security, and efficiency.
• Maintaining accurate records of network architecture, including topology diagrams and component inventories.
• Assisting in the implementation of disaster recovery configurations and checking redundancy settings for business continuity.
• Collaborating with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to secure network access and prevent unauthorized intrusions.
• Analyzing network incident trends and reporting recurring issues for long-term resolution.
• Gathering network usage data and performance metrics for planning and audit purposes.
• Submitting proposals for configuration changes or upgrades for new infrastructure rollouts.
• Providing technical input for infrastructure projects requiring network integration.
• Maintaining network access controls and authentication procedures.
• Supporting the deployment of network equipment in new branches or locations.
• Assisting in the implementation of network security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Supporting the implementation of firewalls, access control mechanisms, and network protection solutions.
• Gathering and analyzing network logs, alerts, and traffic reports for monitoring and incident investigation.
• Submitting incident reports and follow-up documentation for network security breaches or policy violations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in IT network specialization.
• Proven experience in network operations, configuration, maintenance, and security.
• Familiarity with network assessment, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with network devices, routing protocols, and switching technologies.
• Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and access control mechanisms.
• Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity concepts related to networks.

Collaboration and Stakeholders

This role requires effective collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless network operations and security. Internal stakeholders include all company departments. External stakeholders may include consultants, the National Cyber Security Authority, vendors, international vendors, and government entities.
