About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to join our team in Riyadh. This permanent position involves supporting the Solution Architect in delivering large-scale enterprise applications and digital transformation programs. The role requires a strong technical background and leadership capabilities to guide development teams and ensure the successful technical design, development, integration, and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the design and development of enterprise Java applications, ensuring alignment with solution architecture guidelines.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate architectural designs into detailed technical solutions and drive technical decision-making.
• Lead end-to-end application development activities, from initial design through to deployment, and conduct technical reviews of designs and code.
• Mentor and manage development teams, guiding them on design patterns, frameworks, and best practices, while also supporting resource planning.
• Implement enterprise integration solutions using REST APIs, messaging frameworks, and service-oriented architectures.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards, coding best practices, security, performance, and quality requirements throughout the SDLC.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across applications and integrations.
• Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical steering meetings, and support UAT and post-go-live stabilization.

Technical Expertise Required

• 9–14 years of experience in Java/J2EE application development and delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17, J2EE Technologies, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, RESTful Services, Microservices Architecture, Oracle Database, and SQL & PL/SQL.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise applications using SOA Architecture, REST-based Integration Patterns, and Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles, Design Patterns, UML Diagrams, Application Security, Performance Optimization, and Scalability and Reliability Principles.
• Experience with Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and Messaging Platforms (JMS, MQ, Kafka or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Agile and SDLC delivery methodologies, with experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Leadership and Collaboration

• Proven experience leading development teams of 5–15 developers.
• Ability to conduct technical reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Experience mentoring junior and senior developers.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate architecture designs into actionable technical deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant enterprise application delivery experience within large organizations.
• Experience in multi-vendor and large-scale transformation environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams while maintaining hands-on involvement.

Additional Skills

• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular / AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
• Experience with Oracle BPM, IBM ODM, Docker & Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OCI.
• Domain experience in Insurance or Fund Management is considered a plus.
