Lead Civil Design Engineer

About the Role

Vrinda Global is seeking a Lead Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to our projects within the Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry, with a specific focus on substation developments.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will specialize in civil and structural design for High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) substation projects, including those at 132/220/380kV and above. This role involves leading design efforts and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications, while also guiding junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design for HV/EHV substations, including 132/220/380kV and above projects.
• Design and review substation layouts, grading, equipment foundations, cable trenches, roads, drainage, and fencing.
• Review civil/structural calculations, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with electrical, structural, project, and construction teams.
• Manage client and consultant comments, along with engineering submissions.
• Ensure compliance with SEC/Aramco/client standards and project specifications.
• Lead junior engineers/designers and ensure timely, quality deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 10+ years of experience in civil design engineering, specifically within substation projects in the Power T&D / EPC industry. A strong understanding of relevant design principles and project management is essential for this leadership role.
