Misk Schools is seeking a Lifeguard to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals using the school's aquatic facilities. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining constant, vigilant supervision of the school's swimming pool and aquatic facilities. This includes enforcing safety rules, responding to emergencies, and providing first aid and water rescue as needed. The role supports the Sports Department and Physical Education staff in delivering safe swimming lessons and pool-based activities, while upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous supervision of the swimming pool and surrounding areas during all operational times.
• Enforce pool rules, safety regulations, and capacity limits to ensure the safety of all users.
• Respond immediately to emergencies, providing first aid, CPR, and water rescue, and escalating to medical support when necessary.
• Conduct regular water quality checks (chlorine level, pH, temperature) and report any issues promptly.
• Ensure all pool safety equipment (rescue tubes, first aid kit, AED) is present, functional, and accessible.
• Support PE teachers and swim instructors by actively monitoring students during lessons.
• Verify students' swimming ability before permitting access to deep-water areas, in line with school policy.
• Maintain accurate incident, accident, and near-miss logs, reporting them to the line manager without delay.
• Ensure the pool deck, changing rooms, and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, and free of hazards.
• Carry out daily opening and closing safety checks of the pool and aquatic facilities.
• Support the safe organization and running of swimming galas, sports days, and other aquatic events.
• Attend mandatory lifeguard certification renewals, CPR/first aid refresher courses, and safeguarding training.
• Ensure strict adherence to child safeguarding and protection procedures at all times.
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably required by the line manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Current lifeguard certification.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.

Safeguarding Commitment

The post holder is required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, adhering to the school's safeguarding policies and staff code of conduct. This role involves direct and regular supervisory contact with students and requires active support for the designated safeguarding lead to ensure student safety and well-being.
