About the Role

Penta Consulting, a technology service provider, is seeking a Linux System Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is integral to delivering professional and managed solutions across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute Linux patching and perform system maintenance tasks.
• Provide support for Red Hat / Enterprise Linux servers and virtual appliances.
• Utilize Ansible for patching and automation initiatives.
• Monitor patch compliance and address any remediation failures.
• Support OpenShift and Kubernetes environments as needed.
• Coordinate with virtualization and application teams during scheduled maintenance windows.
• Maintain Linux Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and hardening documentation.

Required Experience and Skills

• Possess 4–7 years of experience in Linux administration.
• Demonstrate strong experience with Red Hat / Enterprise Linux.
• Have hands-on experience with Ansible.
• Experience in patching and security remediation is essential.
• Possess basic awareness of Kubernetes / OpenShift.
• Familiarity with ITSM and change management processes is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• RHCSA / RHCE certifications are preferred.
• A Red Hat OpenShift certification is considered a plus.
• Ansible certification is advantageous.
• ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.
