About the Role

Amazon is seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Facilities Supervisor, Reliability Maintenance Engineering to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and policies, executing preventative maintenance tasks to a high standard and on schedule, and achieving high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize health and safety best practices in all work, ensuring full compliance with all health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for Fulfillment Center (FC) assets, including material handling and automation systems.
  • Manage daily engineering operations and soft services, including housekeeping and overall upkeep of premises.
  • Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and statutory compliance for the FC, encompassing waste management and hazardous waste management as per bylaws, and ensuring timely renewal of necessary licenses.
  • Supervise maintenance work and sub-contractors, ensuring the implementation of facility systems checks through a computerized maintenance management system.
  • Provide technical guidance for Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Building & Building (BB) maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across all levels within the organization.
  • Support technicians by providing motivation, knowledge, and hands-on experience.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance individual performance and effectively prioritize and manage resources under pressure.

Technical Expertise

The role requires demonstrated experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a range of technical systems and components, including:

  • Relay logic and ladder diagrams.
  • Controls components, sensors, and scanners.
  • Motor starters, relays, and limit switches.
  • Electronic sensors, servo drives, and frequency inverters.
  • Linear drives, sorters, and various mechanical components such as rolls, bearings, and belts.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, or Instrumentation and Controls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for planning proactive maintenance and documenting reactive tasks.

Work Environment

This position involves working a non-traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends.
