About the Role

WSP is seeking a Senior Materials Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role requires extensive experience in supervising and consulting on major road infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee material selection and testing for road and infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to develop material strategies and provide expert advice on material properties and suitability.
• Conduct site inspections and evaluations to assess material performance during construction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, including material test results and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
• Implement quality control measures and oversee material testing procedures in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide guidance and training to junior engineers and staff regarding material engineering practices.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in materials engineering, with a specific focus on road and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience working with supervising consultants on projects involving roads, bridges, highways, and tunnels.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in technical software and tools related to material engineering.
