About the Opportunity
GH Engage is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent for a permanent full-time contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves direct reporting to the Construction Manager and requires active participation in site operations, coordination, and strict adherence to project standards and safety regulations.
Role Overview
The Mechanical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all assigned mechanical construction activities within the project scope. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, supervising subcontractors, and ensuring that all work fronts and job sites maintain high standards of organization, cleanliness, and environmental protection. The role is critical in tracking progress, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with all EHS and QA/QC requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Construction Manager and provide input on temporary site setups.
- Review and manage labor forecasts to ensure adequate manpower for assigned works.
- Notify the Construction Manager of any impediments to planned works, such as access issues, material shortages, or equipment problems.
- Track subcontractor performance and report any impediments to their progress to the Construction Manager.
- Maintain a daily log of job site activities based on the 2-week lookahead program, tracking progress and issuing updates.
- Ensure all materials issued from stores are correctly documented, quantities are accurate, and excess materials are booked back.
- Liaise daily with the client’s construction discipline team for coordinated planned works.
- Ensure work fronts and job sites are organized and clean, including waste disposal and environmental protection, escalating poor housekeeping issues as needed.
- Manage all assigned construction activities as per scope allocation and coordinate with stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Verify that all site documentation is the latest revision and stamped "Issued for Construction," coordinating with QA/QC to remove outdated documents.
- Escalate any construction design or execution issues and track site progress, providing updates and identifying schedule risks to the Construction Manager.
- Coordinate any material take-off top-ups with the Construction Manager.
- Supervise and coordinate assigned construction subcontractors to ensure packages meet project standards.
- Liaise and coordinate builders’ work requirements with site Construction stakeholders and the BIM Team.
- Ensure adherence to all EHS and QA/QC requirements by all subordinate teams and subcontractors.
- Oversee inspections for assigned work fronts with the QA/QC Team to ensure client representative site installation inspections are approved to Code A.
- Attend Construction Team meetings as required and provide input to the Project Change Management process via the Construction Manager.
- Ensure assigned subordinates and subcontractors adhere to site timekeeping protocols and escalate deviations.
- Promote a working environment that fosters a highly productive, adaptive, motivated, and creative team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Required: Minimum of 5 years of work experience on construction projects, with a mechanical background.
- Required: Competency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office suite or equivalent.
- Desirable: A time-served apprenticeship.
- Desirable: Experience specifically in Data Centre Projects.

Compensation and Benefits
This full-time permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from 30,000 to 38,000 SAR per month. In addition to the salary, the compensation package includes accommodation, relocation flights, a company car, comprehensive insurance, and visa support.
