About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Mendix Developer - Technical Consultant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications by integrating .NET backend development with the Mendix low-code platform. The role drives system integration, AI enablement, modernization initiatives, and platform governance, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using .NET Core.
• Build and maintain frontend and business applications using the Mendix low-code platform.
• Implement seamless integration between high-code (.NET) and low-code (Mendix) components.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications, including Large Language Models (LLMs), predictive analytics, machine learning models, and automated document processing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI-driven use cases and ensure secure, scalable AI deployment.
• Design and implement microservices architectures using .NET and develop RESTful APIs for system communication.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance across distributed systems and contribute to architectural roadmaps.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Mendix platform, establishing and enforcing best practices in development, security, performance, and scalability.
• Define development standards, CI/CD processes, and governance frameworks.
• Lead modernization initiatives for legacy systems and migrate applications to hybrid cloud environments.
• Leverage low-code/no-code platforms for UI prototyping and .NET for complex business logic.
• Conduct code and model reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and mentor junior developers.

Technical Expertise

The role requires a strong understanding of both high-code development, specifically .NET Core, and low-code development using the Mendix platform. Expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures, developing RESTful APIs, and integrating AI capabilities such as LLMs is essential. Experience with cloud migration and application modernization initiatives is also a key requirement.

Collaboration and Mentorship

This position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to define requirements and identify use cases. The role also includes mentoring and guiding junior developers in both high-code and low-code methodologies, fostering knowledge sharing, and promoting continuous improvement within the development team.
