The Role

As the Middle East HR Risk & Employee Relations COE Manager, you will undertake a strategic 12-14 month temporary role based in Riyadh, KSA. This position is central to shaping the HR Risk and Employee Relations framework across the Middle East. You will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of HR policies, leading high-impact employee relations initiatives, and serving as a key advisor to senior leadership on complex workplace matters. The role involves owning critical HR processes, including ER investigations, and acting as a trusted advisor to HR services, business leaders, and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage sensitive Employee Relations (ER) cases, including investigations into grievances, misconduct, and workplace conflicts, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.
  • Provide expert guidance and support on complex ER matters, acting as a subject matter expert.
  • Proactively identify potential workplace issues and address them through preventative measures such as training or policy updates.
  • Maintain Middle East case data in relevant tools, document conversations, and prepare high-quality reports.
  • Lead the analysis of trends and data insights on cases, outcomes, and recommendations to develop strategic ER interventions.
  • Own and develop HR policies and processes related to employee relations, workplace conduct, and HR risk management, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance.
  • Support the HR Services team by providing structural solutions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance capabilities in handling challenging discussions.
  • Develop resources, including templates and training programs, to improve HR Services team proficiency in managing processes independently.
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with BCG values, fostering a welcoming and non-threatening work environment.

Collaboration and Team Environment

This role involves close collaboration with HR Services, legal, and compliance teams to manage risk and employee relations effectively. You will work directly with employees and managers to address concerns, partner with leadership to align risk strategies with organizational goals, and ensure adherence to policies and regulations. Building strong relationships with HR Services and other HR CoE teams is essential for driving alignment on ER and risk-related matters.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or Business.
  • Educational background in employment law or demonstrable practical experience with complex employment/workplace issues with a legal angle.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in HR operations, employee relations, or HR risk management, with mandatory experience in employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of workplace policies and risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing HR challenges.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
