About the NOC Engineer Role

2P Perfect Presentation, a leader in Saudi Arabia's ICT landscape since 2004, is seeking a NOC Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves providing essential first-level support for network, system, application, and service monitoring and troubleshooting. The role is crucial for maintaining 24/7 service availability and operational stability within the Network Operations Center.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

The NOC Engineer serves as the primary point of contact for monitoring and incident management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring network devices, servers, applications, and services using designated tools to identify real-time alerts, abnormalities, and performance degradation.
  • Responding promptly to alerts and service requests, performing first-level troubleshooting, and resolving basic issues within defined procedures.
  • Escalating complex or unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams with comprehensive incident details.
  • Accurately logging all incidents, actions, and updates in ticketing systems and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Conducting routine health checks, supporting daily operational tasks, and preparing operational reports.
  • Assisting with change management activities and monitoring services during maintenance windows.
  • Ensuring smooth shift handovers with complete updates on ongoing incidents and operational status in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Between 2 to 5 years of experience in IT support, Network Operations Center, or a similar technical support role.
  • Previous experience in a 24/7 shift-based operational environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident monitoring, ticket handling, escalation, and basic troubleshooting.

Technical and Professional Skills

Required technical skills include:

  • A foundational understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, VLANs, and basic routing/switching.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (*, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios) and ticketing systems (*, ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA).
  • Proficiency in performing basic troubleshooting using tools like ping and traceroute, and reviewing logs.
  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation protocols.

Professional skills include strong communication, the ability to work under pressure, good documentation and reporting capabilities, attention to detail, and effective coordination with support teams.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, an ITIL Foundation certification or entry-level networking certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA are considered advantageous.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a 24/7 shift-based environment, requiring punctuality and adherence to duty schedules.
