About the Role

LanceSoft Middle East is seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to join our team in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah. This is a permanent position requiring 2-5 years of experience in network operations and support.

Key Responsibilities

The NOC Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining network operations, ensuring service quality, and resolving incidents. This includes:

• Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues.
• Analyzing signaling flows, routing tables, and authentication paths.
• Managing incident workflows and partner escalations.
• Troubleshooting core-network elements and connectivity issues.
• Correlating events across network elements and analyzing logs and traces.
• Utilizing OSS/NMS tools for alarm management and performance monitoring.
• Documenting and tracking incidents and resolutions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• 2–5 years of experience in NOC operations, telecom monitoring, satellite operations, or core-network support.
• Experience with signaling flows, routing tables, authentication paths, or mobile-core elements.
• Hands-on experience with multi-vendor NOC operations, incident workflows, and partner escalations.
• Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIS are advantageous.

Technical Expertise

Proficiency in the following technical areas is essential:

• Strong understanding of signaling protocols (*, Diameter, SIP, NAS), routing fundamentals, and core-network behavior.
• Knowledge of telecom connectivity flows, including SIM activation, attach procedures, mobility, and authentication.
• Experience analyzing logs, traces, routing tables, and performing event correlation.
• Familiarity with OSS/NMS tools, alarms, KPIs, dashboards, and monitoring platforms.
• Basic understanding of satellite network components, gateways, or hybrid RAN-core flows is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, basic scripting (Python/Bash), and troubleshooting tools.

Professional Skills and Work Environment

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication for coordinating with internal teams and external partners. Adaptability to shift-based schedules, including nights and weekends, is required. The role involves working within a shift-based NOC environment, requiring attentiveness during extended monitoring sessions and incident bridges. Occasional travel may be necessary for training or coordination activities.

Technology Proficiency

Familiarity with the following technologies is expected:

• NOC and OSS/NMS tools (*, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, SolarWinds).
• Logging tools (*, Elastic, Splunk, Kibana) and packet analysis tools (*, Wireshark).
• Ticketing/ITSM tools (*, ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy).
• Basic scripting and automation familiarity (Python, Bash).
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, dashboards, and documentation tools.
