About the Opportunity
Greenland Group is seeking a highly experienced Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Inspector to join their team, working on projects for the Ministry of Defense in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in NDT methodologies.
Role Overview
The NDT Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of components and structures. This involves conducting thorough inspections using various NDT techniques and providing expert evaluation to uphold stringent quality and safety standards for defense-related projects within the Ministry of Defense framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment to perform inspections, utilizing methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Testing (VT).
- Interpret test results, analyze blueprints, and evaluate findings to determine the acceptability of parts, welds, or structures, identifying any need for repair.
- Ensure all inspection activities strictly comply with local safety, quality, and government regulations.
- Document all testing procedures, processes, and results accurately, generating detailed reports for engineers and clients.
- Collaborate directly with clients, welders, and project managers to report on testing progress and facilitate the resolution of structural issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Inspector.
- Demonstrated proficiency in setting up, calibrating, and operating NDT equipment across various methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT).
- Strong ability to interpret technical data, blueprints, and NDT results.
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols and quality regulations relevant to NDT inspections.
- Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
Compensation and Employment Type
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The monthly salary offered for this role ranges from Tk. 130,000 to Tk. 140,000.
