Job Description

About the Role

The Water Transmission Company is seeking an Operations Center Operator to join their team in Sa'ad, Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for conducting various operations activities to ensure the proper functioning of the water transmission system. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop daily shift operation schedules based on demand forecasts, system capacity, shutdown schedules, water supply quantities, and planned interruptions for maintenance.
  • Monitor pipelines and analyze capacity gaps to identify necessary skills for internal team allocation or external party engagement to ensure proper system function.
  • Investigate encroachments, shutdowns, and performance variances, contributing to the prompt implementation of mitigation plans and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate between the Central Control Room (CCR) and Local Control Room (LCR) to ensure efficient operations in compliance with established plans and standards.
  • Consolidate operation, accident, and shutdown reports, and analyze the efficiency and performance of operation schedules.
  • Assess the performance of water quality, cooling systems, and pump oil systems to identify gaps in quality levels and system efficiency.
  • Compare current forecasts with actual consumption, document lessons learned, and develop reports to aid in creating future water forecasts.
  • Support the planning and design of all rehabilitation and replacement works for transmission system equipment.
  • Resolve complex issues escalated from CCR or LCR promptly to maintain continuous operation activities.

Operational Accountabilities

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations systems, practices, cost optimization, and productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within the Water Transmission Company and related functions (*, HC, HSSE, Risk, Cybersecurity).
  • Escalate problems to ensure efficient and timely resolution of cases and issues.
  • Ensure all work is carried out efficiently, adhering to annual business plans, goals, policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Comply with safety, quality, and environmental procedures to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality service.
