About the Portfolio Manager / Analyst Role

Lazard, a leading global financial advisory and asset management firm, is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager / Analyst to join its MENA Equities platform in Riyadh. This full-time position involves a critical role in directing investment processes, generating market insights, and managing existing investment portfolios. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of market trends, economic indicators, and individual securities, with a demonstrated ability to optimize portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Jointly develop and implement investment policies, directing portfolio management for specific strategies and overseeing significant assets.
  • Assume joint responsibility for all facets of fund management for assigned strategies, including investment decision-making and compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of market trends, economic indicators, and individual securities to identify investment opportunities and associated risks.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of investment reports for both external and internal clients.
  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making necessary adjustments to optimize returns and manage risks in alignment with client objectives and firm targets.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop new business, attract clients, and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations governing client portfolio management.
  • Assist in the production of timely and accurate investment reports for clients.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Buy-side experience in equities portfolio management, with a proven record across various sectors.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical skills, including detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in portfolio management software and financial analysis tools.

Professional Engagement

Active participation in industry events and conferences is expected to stay updated on market developments and effectively represent Lazard. This includes articulating the investment approach of the strategies managed.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
