The Power System Expert Role

EGI is seeking a Power System Expert to reinforce its team focused on Power System Operations and Security. This role is critical in the context of deep integration of renewable energy sources (RES) and Energy and Balancing Market Integration. The expert will participate in local and international projects, contributing to RES integration, ensuring security of supply, and enhancing the sustainability and economic efficiency of Power Systems.

Key Duties and Tasks

The responsibilities for this position will be determined by the candidate's competencies and expertise, and will be discussed during interviews with managers. Typical activities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Analysis and definition of operational principles.
• Model definition and validation.
• Steady-state calculations, such as load flow and short circuit analysis.
• Dynamic stability analysis, including frequency and voltage stability.
• Grid Code requirement and connection compliance studies.

Professional Experience and Expertise

Candidates for the Power System Expert position are expected to be experienced professionals with demonstrated expertise in the field of transmission system operation. A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant professional experience is required. The role demands a strong understanding of power system dynamics and operational principles to address current and future energy challenges effectively.

Work Location and Mobility

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires mobility, with a willingness to travel abroad for international assignments up to 20% worldwide, depending on business development or specific project needs.
