About the Power Transformer CoE Leader Role
GE Vernova is seeking a Power Transformer CoE Leader to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves global ownership of project control activities, defining consistent functional specifications, and establishing common global processes for project implementation. The role focuses on understanding and meeting customer expectations, impacting functional domains, organizational approaches, projects, and programs, and influencing the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical manager and lead to develop scopes of work, establish planning, and control engineering activities for client projects.
- Provide technical leadership and act as a primary interface with proposal management, cost estimation, partners, clients, GE Vernova Product Engineering, procurement, and engineering subcontractors.
- Contribute significantly to priority setting within the functional domain.
- Contribute to the development of strategies and policies, ensuring their implementation within the scope of responsibilities.
- May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource needs.
Technical Expertise and Guidance
- Develop specialized knowledge within the discipline and stay aware of the latest technical developments in the field.
- Provide advice on best practices and quality standards.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of best practices and understand how the domain integrates with others.
- Maintain working knowledge of the competition and market differentiators.
- Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues, explaining difficult or sensitive information.
Decision-Making and Influence
- Exercise judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
- Adopt new perspectives on existing solutions and use technical experience and data analysis expertise to support recommendations.
- Call upon limited internal and external resources outside the immediate function to assist in decision-making.
- Strive to build consensus and develop persuasion skills to influence others on topics within the domain.
