About the Private Strategic Account Management Lead Role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Private Strategic Account Management Lead to join the Market Access team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Role Purpose and Scope

The Private Strategic Account Management Lead will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for expanding Johnson & Johnson's portfolio within the private healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on policy influence, building strategic partnerships with payers, and engaging key private healthcare customers to ensure sustainable product inclusion and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the private market expansion strategy in Saudi Arabia, aligning with national healthcare transformation initiatives, CHI regulations, and Johnson & Johnson priorities.
  • Engage proactively with the Council of Health Insurance (CHI) and private insurers to influence reimbursement frameworks, listing criteria, and policies affecting innovative products.
  • Anticipate policy changes and strategically position the portfolio to mitigate access risks and identify new opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive decision-makers within private health insurance companies, CHI and IA leadership, and major private healthcare groups.
  • Develop and maintain long-term, trust-based partnerships focused on value, sustainability, and patient outcomes.
  • Lead negotiations and strategic agreements as required.
  • Prioritize and sequence Johnson & Johnson products for private reimbursement, considering value, readiness, and payer dynamics.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of private sector positioning across all therapeutic areas.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with Market Access, Medical, Pricing, Regulatory, Commercial, and Supply chain teams to develop integrated account management plans.
  • Provide strategic guidance to operational teams for execution and tracking.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and alignment with global and regional access principles.
  • Act as the internal expert on the Saudi private insurance ecosystem, providing insights on payer behavior, market trends, and competitive developments.
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations for leadership and regional stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related scientific discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Market Access, Pricing, Policy, or Key Account Management within the Saudi pharmaceutical market.
  • Proven experience in private insurance reimbursement, CHI engagement, and payer negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders and influence access outcomes at a system level.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities, leadership presence, and the ability to operate effectively at an executive level.
  • Solid understanding of Saudi regulatory, pricing, and reimbursement frameworks.
