Job Description
About the Role
Marco is seeking a Procurement Engineer (Mechanical) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for managing material procurement and ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing for various projects. The role involves close coordination with project management and technical teams to align procurement activities with project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up material submittal registers to ensure all material approvals and procurement activities are properly scheduled and allocated to appropriate budget items in the Bill of Quantities.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, MEP Manager, and Procurement Manager to ensure material submittal registers are properly issued, cost-coded, and authorized.
- Execute the procurement and distribution of all permanent and temporary works materials from reputable suppliers to subcontractors.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Coordinator and Project Manager/Director to ensure material and mock-up approvals are obtained in a timely manner, in accordance with Construction Programme requirements.
- Ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing services are provided to achieve time and budgeted objectives.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project staff.
- Provide necessary feedback to the Technical Director, Project Manager, and Bidding Manager as required.
- Support the preparation of bids in close collaboration with the Estimating Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, specifically within a mechanical engineering context.
- Proven ability to manage material submittals, approvals, and procurement processes effectively.
- Experience in coordinating with various project stakeholders, including project managers, MEP managers, and subcontractors.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing registers and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in cost-effective sourcing and budget management.
- Ability to work collaboratively and provide timely feedback to relevant departments.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring an individual who can thrive in a dynamic project-oriented environment and manage multiple procurement activities concurrently.
