About the Procurement Specialist Role

Saleh Al-Rajhi & Partners Co. Ltd is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to our operations, focusing on the strategic sourcing and acquisition of essential technical materials, equipment, and services required for various projects and ongoing operations.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Procurement Specialist plays a critical part in ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, project management, and finance teams to guarantee cost-effective purchasing while strictly adhering to technical specifications, quality standards, and required delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs) to accurately identify procurement requirements.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors based on technical compliance, quality assurance, cost-effectiveness, and delivery capability.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Perform detailed technical and commercial comparisons of offers and actively participate in bid evaluations.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contract conditions with selected suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, subsequently following up on order confirmation, manufacturing progress, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure all procured materials meet project specifications and established standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance consistently and proactively resolve any procurement-related issues or potential delays.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company procurement policies, established procedures, and ethical standards throughout all activities.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive procurement records, reports, and essential documentation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in procurement, specifically within a technical or project-oriented environment. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required, demonstrating a proven track record in managing complex procurement cycles and supplier relationships.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role operates within a dynamic environment, requiring effective collaboration with various internal departments to achieve procurement objectives.
