About Al Majed *** and the Role
Al Majed *** is seeking a professional Procurement Specialist to join its Supply Chain and Procurement team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on managing local procurement operations within the perfumes and retail sectors.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the local procurement of raw materials, packaging, or finished goods. The primary objective is to ensure optimal value for money, adherence to the highest quality standards, and strict compliance with delivery schedules, all in alignment with company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and coordinate the end-to-end local procurement lifecycle, from receiving purchase requests and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs), to goods receipt and invoice reconciliation.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships by sourcing, evaluating, and onboarding new local suppliers, and building strong, sustainable relationships with existing vendors to negotiate competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, and reliable lead times.
- Oversee sector-specific procurement:
- For Perfumes: Manage the procurement of local aromatic raw materials, fragrance bottles, caps, and packaging materials, ensuring alignment with brand quality standards and corporate identity.
- For Retail: Monitor branch inventory and secure merchandise or consumer products to ensure zero stockouts across warehouses and Point of Sales (POS).
- Conduct regular market research and cost optimization analyses of local material and product prices, continuously proposing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
- Coordinate closely with warehouses and inventory control teams for inventory and delivery monitoring to ensure accurate quantities and prevent overstocking or stock depletion.
- Follow up on local supplier shipments and resolve any discrepancies regarding delays, specifications mismatch, or substandard goods as part of dispute and issue resolution.
- Document all purchasing transactions and generate regular reports for senior management regarding vendor performance, spending trends, and order status.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in procurement, with a preference for experience in the perfumes or retail sector.
- Demonstrated competence and professionalism in managing procurement operations.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
