About Omq Event Management and the Role
Omq Event Management is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring the successful execution of events by managing the acquisition of all necessary materials and supplies. The specialist will operate within a dynamic environment, contributing to OMQ’s commitment to delivering high-quality experiences.
Role Purpose and Contribution
The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in securing materials and supplies for event execution, focusing on competitive pricing, high quality, and timely delivery. This position is responsible for daily purchasing operations, supplier negotiations, quotation management, and purchase order follow-up. The specialist also contributes to enhancing procurement cycle efficiency and improving supply chain performance, supporting OMQ’s objective to reduce costs while maintaining the quality of event preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review event requirements with production, creative, and operations teams to identify necessary materials and equipment.
- Source and evaluate suitable suppliers based on quality, availability, and cost, obtaining competitive quotations.
- Generate purchase orders, manage approval processes, and ensure timely delivery aligned with event timelines.
- Verify contract and purchase compliance with budget allocations and agreed terms before signing.
- Analyze quotations based on quality, price, payment terms, and delivery timelines, recommending optimal choices.
- Supervise the Logistics Coordinator to ensure delivery timelines align with the overall event schedule and materials meet approved specifications.
- Address and resolve any delays or supply issues promptly to prevent disruption to event execution.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive supplier database, categorized by rating, material types, quality, and priority, ensuring continuous updates.
- Prepare periodic reports on procurement performance indicators and propose improvements to the procurement cycle.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement.
- Mandatory experience within the events industry.
Location and Work Type
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence to manage procurement operations effectively for event execution.
