The Project Manager Role

SJ Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to join its Project Management Consultancy team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, client-facing position involves supporting the Project Director in the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project. The role requires confident engagement with clients, consultants, contractors, and senior management, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Project Director in the day-to-day management and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including Civil, MEP, design consultants, contractors, and specialist advisors.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risks, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining master programmes and project execution plans.
• Lead progress review meetings and coordinate actions to resolve project issues and mitigate delays.
• Prepare high-quality client presentations, executive reports, dashboards, KPIs, and project status updates.
• Interface with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities, maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Support contract administration, change management, risk management, and claims avoidance.
• Monitor project budgets, expenditure, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality, HSE, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Support project governance, document management, approvals, and reporting processes.
• Assist in project handover, close-out activities, and lessons learned workshops.

Required Experience and Attributes

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within infrastructure or a related consulting environment.
• Demonstrated ability to confidently engage with diverse stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, and senior management.
• Strong capabilities in project planning, progress monitoring, reporting, and delivering executive-level presentations.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risks effectively.
