About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join its Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is within the Infrastructure Division, focusing on large-scale civil engineering and transportation projects. The position offers career development within a multinational firm.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Senior Quality Engineer will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and inspecting construction processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards.
• Analyzing project data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the construction process.
• Training and supervising staff on quality assurance practices and procedures.
• Participating in internal and external audits to guarantee compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality documentation, including detailed test plans and protocols.
• Investigating client complaints and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitoring material and supply inventory to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure the overall quality of finished works.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Assurance, Quality Management, or a closely related field.
• Relevant Quality Qualifications such as CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), or MQM (Master Quality Manager).
• Over 12 years of applicable experience, with a strong emphasis on consultancy roles. Exclusive contractor experience will not be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in at least one major ROADS project is essential. Candidates without clear ROAD experience will not be considered.
• Proficiency in the English language is required; knowledge of Arabic is considered a plus.
• Transferable Iqama is required for non-Saudi candidates.
• Must be based in Riyadh.
• Valid SCE (Saudi Council of Engineers) membership is mandatory.

Required Skills and Expertise

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Expertise in Quality Assurance and Quality Management principles.
• In-depth knowledge of Civil Engineering and Transportation Projects, specifically roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels.
• Proficiency in monitoring construction processes and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Strong data analysis capabilities for process improvement.
• Experience in conducting and participating in audits.
• Skilled in developing and maintaining quality documentation, including test plans and protocols.
• Proven ability to investigate client complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Experience in material inventory quality control.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and social skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
• Willingness to work within a multinational environment.
