Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves preparing quantity take-offs, cost estimates, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on design drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will also review various engineering drawings for accurate measurement and cost assessment, monitor design development, and evaluate the cost impact of design changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, cost plans, and BOQs based on design drawings and specifications.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and infrastructure drawings for accurate measurement and cost assessment.
• Monitor design development and assess the cost impact of design changes.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Prepare tender documentation, pricing schedules, and tender analysis reports.
• Review and evaluate contractors' commercial submissions, identifying pricing discrepancies and risks.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure cost alignment with the project budget.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, with strong pre-contract QS experience.
• Previous experience in an Engineering/Design Consultancy is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in cost planning, estimation, BOQ preparation, tendering, tender evaluation, and value engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of construction costs, measurement methods, and market rates.
• Strong Excel skills are required; experience with AutoCAD/BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Experience in KSA/GCC is preferred.
