About the Role
Noon - Education for Everyone is seeking a Remote Teacher specializing in Biology & Chemistry for High School, following the American Curriculum. This role is part of the development of a new American high school program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The position involves contributing to the design and implementation of a rigorous, engaging, and technology-enabled Biology & Chemistry curriculum.
This is an integral part of a hybrid learning model that combines remote educators, in-class facilitators, and technology. The role will focus on the development of Biology & Chemistry programs, including curriculum design, instructional strategies, assessment methods, and pacing, with the opportunity to directly instruct one of the courses. The position may be remote, with no relocation required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive Biology & Chemistry courses, including curriculum frameworks, unit plans, lesson plans, assessments, and homework for Noon's hybrid teaching platform. Immediate focus will be on the Grade 9 and 10 curriculum, targeted for launch by Fall 2026.
- Lead, train, and facilitate other Biology & Chemistry teachers in the effective delivery of the designed content.
- Deliver online Biology or Chemistry lessons, commencing in August, ensuring alignment with the established curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Continuously design, adapt, and improve lessons and teaching materials to enhance student learning.
- Utilize educational technology (EdTech) and digital tools to foster student engagement, enable differentiation, and encourage active participation.
- Collaborate with the broader team to refine curriculum content, delivery methodologies, and overall learning journeys.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in designing International American high school Science curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
- Proven experience in designing and/or delivering Science curriculum for students for whom English is a second language.
- Possession of a recognized teaching qualification, such as a BA/MA in the subject area, TESOL, or CELTA.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Availability to work full-time, Sunday to Thursday (GMT +3), with potential flexibility for a half-day Sunday morning and half-day Friday if preferred.
- Experience teaching online groups of 5 or more students.
- Must be a native English speaker from an English-speaking country (*, US, UK, South Africa, Australia).
- Must have reliable internet connectivity and a professional video setup for remote instruction.
Required Skills
- Expertise in International American high school Science curriculum design.
- Proficiency in designing Science curriculum tailored for English as a Second Language (ESL) students.
- Experience in teaching online groups of 5 or more students.
- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) or emerging EdTech tools and resources in teaching.
- Arabic language ability is considered advantageous.
Work Context
This is a full-time position. While based in the Riyadh Region, the role offers the possibility of being remote.
