About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Roads & Pavement Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to a major Airport Development Project, focusing on the design review, construction supervision, quality control, and technical coordination of critical infrastructure elements.

Project Scope and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of roads, airport landside road networks, airfield pavements, and associated civil infrastructure. This role ensures that all aspects of pavement and roadway construction adhere to project requirements and international standards.

Key Duties

• Review pavement and roadway designs, including geometric design, pavement structures, grading, and cross-sections.
• Evaluate flexible and rigid pavement designs, pavement thickness calculations, and material specifications.
• Assess pavement performance and durability.
• Review contractor shop drawings and method statements.
• Conduct site inspections and verify construction quality and compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor pavement testing and review asphalt and concrete quality reports.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering recommendations.
• Monitor overall progress and construction quality.
• Participate in risk assessments and constructability reviews.
• Promote safe construction practices on site.

Coordination and Approvals

• Coordinate pavement interfaces with airfield systems and utilities.
• Review operational impacts during construction and support phased construction planning.
• Coordinate with airport authorities, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
• Support technical approvals for project elements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in roads and pavement engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in design review, construction supervision, and quality control for civil infrastructure projects, preferably within an airport environment.
• Proficiency in verifying compliance with international standards and project-specific requirements.
