About the Associate Manager Software Engineering Role

DXC Technology is seeking an Associate Manager Software Engineering to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to software development and support within a dynamic environment.

Core Responsibilities and Issue Resolution

The Associate Manager will be responsible for investigating and resolving escalated tickets from Level 1 support, focusing on functional and technical issues within web applications. This involves reproducing issues in test or staging environments, conducting detailed log analysis, performing SQL/database checks, and validating APIs to identify root causes and bugs.

Incident Management and User Support

Key duties include classifying and prioritizing incidents based on severity and business impact. The role requires escalating unresolved issues to the Level 3 development team with comprehensive documentation and root cause findings. Collaboration with Level 1 and Level 3 teams during major incidents and post-incident reviews is essential. Additionally, the Associate Manager will communicate with business users or clients to gather necessary information, provide workarounds, and maintain knowledge base and support documentation.

Technical Contributions and Release Verification

This role involves preparing scripts or SQL queries for data validation and issue resolution. Basic configuration changes and updates in non-production environments will be performed. The Associate Manager will also conduct release verification and smoke testing following deployments to ensure application stability.

Continuous Improvement and Skill Development

A focus on continuous improvement includes analyzing recurring issues to propose long-term fixes or enhancements and providing feedback to development and QA teams to improve application stability and usability. This role offers a platform to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and documentation abilities, and the capacity to work independently and under pressure.

Required Technical Skills and Technologies

Candidates should possess strong .NET, Angular, and VB experience, along with a solid understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with web application architectures (*, client/server, REST APIs) and familiarity with databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) including the ability to write basic queries are required. Exposure to version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is considered a plus. Communication tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Email, along with code/CI tools such as Git, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions, are part of the work environment.
