About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Section Manager, Corporate Business Planning to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on supporting the execution of corporate strategic planning, performance management, and annual planning processes. The role involves coordinating alignment across business units, ensuring accurate KPI reporting, and contributing to data-driven decision-making through standardized frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

The Section Manager will oversee several critical areas:

  • Strategic Planning & Alignment: Support the development and updating of corporate strategic objectives, coordinate their cascading across sectors and business units, and ensure consistency with corporate direction. Track updates to strategic plans and evaluate strategic initiatives.
  • Performance Management & KPI Governance: Manage KPI data collection and consolidation, ensure timely and accurate submission of performance data, and lead the preparation of periodic performance reports. Oversee support for KPI owners, manage root-cause analysis for underperforming KPIs, and track corrective actions.
  • Project Prioritization & Portfolio Support: Coordinate the prioritization of strategic projects, oversee analysis of project dependencies, manage risk identification and mitigation planning, and support project evaluation activities.
  • Data Platform Development & Standardization: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data platforms, lead efforts to standardize data systems for consistent reporting, and coordinate the development of centralized databases. Support the design of integrated planning and performance platforms, define data quality indicators, and promote data governance.
  • Annual Planning & Budget Coordination: Lead the coordination of annual planning processes and template standardization, manage planning timelines, and ensure adherence to submission requirements. Ensure business units maintain updated and aligned annual plans, overseeing their alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Annual Plan Performance Monitoring & Financial Analysis: Lead analysis of annual plan performance deviations, oversee consolidation of quarterly performance reviews, and manage the review of performance reports and consolidated budgets. Coordinate sector-level financial and operational analysis and recommend efficiency improvements.

  • HR Proficiency: Recruit, recognize, and develop high performers, while guiding or releasing low performers. Treat subordinates equally and assess them based on performance leading to planned results. Ensure delegation of authority matrices are in place.
  • Responsibility: Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and company guidelines, anticipating and preventing problems, and making timely, proper decisions.
  • Delivery: Deliver required results in a timely manner with the specified quality and cost.

  • Organizational Development: Develop organizational structures aligned with current and future plans, ensuring job descriptions are available and roles are deployed.
  • Business Process Improvements: Develop and coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities. Promote the full utilization of automated systems and related IT solutions.
