About the Role

eXtra is seeking a dedicated Security professional to supervise and manage the Security Unit within an installation or premises in Riyadh. This full-time role involves ensuring the safety and security of individuals, valuable materials, and classified documents. The Security Officer is responsible for implementing and maintaining security protocols across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all company-directed security and loss prevention programs.
• Advise the Store Manager on potential security risks and significant shrink issues.
• Maintain a safe environment for employees and customers, detecting and communicating signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks.
• Comply with all Safety & Security procedures, including ensuring the proper return and exchange of items, availability and deployment of fire extinguishers, and functionality of emergency doors.
• Implement safety and security standards according to company policy, including parking lot security.
• Investigate theft cases and report them to the resources protection department.
• Ensure appropriate personal qualities of employees are maintained and train Security Personnel in security drills and procedures.
• Supervise and manage Security Personnel, deploying guards according to company guidelines and business needs.
• Assist verifiers during peak hours, prayer times, breaks, and other business requirements.
• Ensure all in-store security devices are functioning properly and make recommendations to reduce expenses.
• Conduct periodic rounds of Sentry Posts to check alertness and compliance with Standing Orders.
• Manage back area door closing and opening, and ensure the security of keys.
• Inspect firefighting equipment and Fire Tender serviceability periodically.
• Inspect logs of entry and exit for personnel, items, vehicles, and products at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Operate the control room according to company policy and procedure.
• Monitor and report any inappropriate staff behavior to the Customer Experience Manager/Supervisor.
• Report incidents or accidents to store management and the resources protection department urgently.
• Prepare and submit daily security reports to the Resources Protection Department (RPD).

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity for moving merchandise and demonstrating product features.
• Ability to operate in-store equipment.
• Capacity to stand or sit continuously and perform job functions for a 10-hour shift with a meal break.
• Visual ability, corrected, to perform job functions and distinguish colors.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, crouching, handling, and moving items weighing up to 20 kg without assistance.

Performance Standards

• Implement all store processes and procedures effectively.
• Control and protect store stock according to established processes and procedures.
• Ensure the store's physical setup aligns with company guidelines and all instructions are implemented.
• Manage inventory according to company guidelines.
• Ensure merchandise is properly displayed and priced.
• Handle customer services proficiently, as measured partly by customer feedback.
• Operate all applicable equipment according to company policy.
• Adhere to additional performance criteria, standards of conduct, discipline, and discharge procedures outlined in the employee orientation program, SOP, and HR programs.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Schedule

Security officers typically work a flexible schedule, requiring availability during both morning and evening shifts. Availability for work any day of the week is expected. Requests for specific days off require advance notification and approval from the Customer Experience Manager or Supervisor.
