About the Role

MOBCO Group is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their project team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with significant site execution and construction management experience, particularly in delivering large-scale and mega construction projects. Experience in hospitality developments is considered a strong advantage.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Civil Engineer will oversee and manage daily civil construction activities on site, ensuring all work adheres to approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and quality standards. This role involves coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to facilitate smooth project execution. Key duties include reviewing construction drawings to identify technical and constructability issues, monitoring project progress against schedules and milestones, and conducting site inspections to ensure quality control procedures are followed.

• Coordinating with Architectural, MEP, and Technical Office teams to resolve site-related issues.
• Reviewing method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Preparing progress reports and providing regular updates to project management.
• Supporting testing, commissioning, snagging, de-snagging, and project handover activities.
• Ensuring compliance with project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. A minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in civil construction and site engineering is required. Proven experience on mega construction projects is mandatory. The role demands a strong understanding of construction methodologies, site management principles, and quality standards, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

Essential Experience and Skills

The successful applicant will have experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential. Mandatory requirements include 8–12 years of relevant experience and proven mega project experience. The ability to join immediately or on short notice is also required. Previous experience with leading contracting companies is preferred, and experience working in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries is highly desirable.
