About the Role

Mace is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee major civil and infrastructure works in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to a significant program, focusing on the client's representative role on-site to ensure the successful delivery of complex infrastructure assets.

Role Context and Objectives

This role involves serving as the client’s representative on-site, managing the day-to-day delivery of major civil and infrastructure projects. The Senior Construction Manager will supervise main contractors to ensure full technical compliance, high-quality execution, and strict adherence to program schedules. A key focus will be driving a strong health and safety culture, resolving technical issues, and maintaining effective interface coordination to safeguard client objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive safe, high-quality, and compliant project delivery, championing well-being and health and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain trusted client and stakeholder relationships, translating strategic vision into actionable delivery plans.
  • Uphold ethical and fiscally responsible project governance, embedding long-term strategic value.
  • Empower teams through guidance, knowledge sharing, and promoting delivery excellence.
  • Manage a strong health, safety, and well-being culture, ensuring compliance, rigorous audits, and effective critical controls.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary coordination, stakeholder engagement, and district-wide interfaces to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to execution plans, standards, and documentation, while resolving design or contract gaps.
  • Provide clear reporting, lead project meetings, and champion continuous improvement across delivery activities.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring safe systems of work, effective method statements, strong permit-to-work controls, and robust contractor supervision.
  • Monitor on-site progress, identify issues early, and implement corrective actions to maintain program, quality, and safety benchmarks.
  • Ensure strict adherence to execution plans, technical standards, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree-qualified with professional membership (*, MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE).
  • Strong technical, commercial, and sustainability awareness.
  • Over 10 years of experience delivering complex, large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, utilities, and major civils works.
  • Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and robust project governance.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in enterprise-level project management and reporting systems.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, working on one of the largest programs in the region. The project involves major mixed-use development, including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts, along with all associated infrastructure.
