Senior Field Technical Engineer

About the Role

Abbott is seeking a Senior Field Technical Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is within the Electrophysiology (EP) division, focusing on advancing the treatment of heart disease through medical technologies for atrial fibrillation. The position requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support

• Provide case support within the EP Lab.
• Offer clinical support on devices and equipment to customers and prospective customers, responding to inquiries and delivering high-level service.
• Deliver educational and training support, including on-site clinical training for physicians and other medical personnel.
• Represent the company as a professional and competent resource in support of client and Abbott objectives.
• Demonstrate, set up, test, and service company products, including devices and equipment for diagnosis, monitoring, managing, and treating arrhythmias.

Key Responsibilities: Sales Support

• Manage the EP business within a specific region.
• Continuously follow up on regional targets per account regarding revenues and specific financial metrics for the managed line of business.
• Track inventory and manage additional logistical tasks.
• Align with the company vision to translate strategies into actions.
• Execute tasks for new product launches, provide education, and facilitate team certification.
• Supervise FTEs and monitor their assigned work.
• Support sales and marketing personnel in setting up and demonstrating company products, including developing and presenting sales proposals.
• Provide technical support to customers and prospective customers by responding to inquiries and offering timely resources and personal expertise.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians and EP Lab personnel.

Accountability and Planning

The Senior Field Technical Engineer cultivates internal networks and begins to develop an external network to facilitate task completion. This role may lead well-defined projects and provides guidance to less experienced staff. Influence is exerted at the peer level and occasionally at the first levels of management. The individual is responsible for planning, organizing, and prioritizing their daily work routine to meet established schedules.

Decision Making and Impact

This position involves exercising authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate actions. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions may cause delays and necessitate the allocation of additional resources.
