Lead Field Services Engineer

About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Field Services Engineer for a full-time position in Dammam, Eastern region. This role focuses on delivering essential service and maintenance activities at customer sites, contributing to the upkeep, repair, and refurbishment of sold or existing products. The Lead Field Services Engineer will influence departmental operations and be responsible for planning and executing activities within established operational disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site life extension, repairs, and inspection-related service activities at customer locations.
• Execute specialized tasks including on-site machining, non-destructive testing, blade and winding services, critical weld inspections, and generator diagnostics.
• Manage all types of maintenance services, including preventive and corrective maintenance, and oversee maintenance facilities and technical field services.
• Develop and apply in-depth technical knowledge within a specific discipline, building on prior experience and acquired expertise to implement policy and strategy.
• Utilize a deep understanding of key operational drivers to accomplish assigned work and integrate team efforts with broader departmental goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in field services or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and propose solutions outside defined parameters, within established guidance.
• Proven technical skills and an analytical mindset for problem-solving, leveraging previous experience and professional training.
• Ability to utilize multiple internal sources outside of one's immediate team to inform decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, suitable for an individual contributor role or a People Leader capable of hiring and developing talent.

Work Environment and Additional Information

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
