GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Field Services Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves overseeing and executing service and maintenance activities on customer sites, focusing on maintaining, repairing, and overhauling existing products. The position requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Lead Field Services Engineer is responsible for all resources and logistics necessary to perform service and maintenance work at customer locations. This includes both preventive and corrective maintenance services, maintenance facility management, and field service engineering. The role influences departmental operations and is accountable for planning and execution within established functional practices and procedures.

• Perform on-site runtime extensions, repairs, and inspection-related service activities, including on-site machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, and generator diagnostics.
• Apply deep technical knowledge and previous experience to implement guidelines and strategies.
• Utilize a sound understanding of key business drivers to inform and execute work.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of how team work integrates with other teams and contributes to the overall area.
• Exercise judgment and propose solutions outside defined parameters, with guidance.
• Solve tasks using previous experience and on-the-job training, applying technical skills and analytical thinking.
• Access multiple internal sources beyond the immediate team for decision-making.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in field service engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Proven technical expertise in service and maintenance work on industrial products.
• Ability to work autonomously while adhering to standard operational practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills, suitable for a single contributor or junior leadership role.

Work Environment and Security

This role is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and involves working on client critical infrastructure. Shortlisted candidates will undergo heightened security checks as directed by clients.
