Egis is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across construction projects.

The Role of Senior HSE Engineer

The Senior HSE Engineer advises and assists Project and Construction Management in the formulation, implementation, and management of project safety plans. These plans may pertain to one or more job site locations, which are separate and distinct construction operations requiring integrated supervision of programs. The role reports functionally to the senior construction site representative and organizationally to the Safety Manager, ensuring that project safety plans reflect company policy and comply with prevailing safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and assist the senior construction site representative in establishing and managing the job site safety program, identifying and eliminating or controlling hazards to persons and property.
• Inspect job sites to detect and correct safety hazards.
• Supervise first aid personnel in providing care for occupationally injured or ill personnel.
• Audit job accident records and periodically prepare audit reports of these records.
• Initiate and conduct accident investigations and prepare job accident reports.
• Represent management during safety inspections of the job site by regulatory authorities or company insurance carriers.
• Receive, review, and distribute safety inspection reports with recommended corrective actions.
• Provide comprehensive safety training to all workers, including site hazards, safe work procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Promote safety awareness and encourage a strong safety culture on site by actively promoting safe work practices, communicating safety information, and recognizing safe behaviors.
• Monitor workplace health conditions, implement health and hygiene programs, and address health concerns.
• Maintain HSE Documentation.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Required Experience and Nationality

Candidates for this position must be Saudi Nationals. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant Health, Safety, and Environment engineering role is required.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving oversight of various construction operations within the region.
