About the Senior Manager - Commercial Role

This full-time position for a Senior Manager - Commercial is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. The role is responsible for the financial oversight and management of major transport infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to budget, cost control, and accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee budget management and cost control for major transport infrastructure projects.
  • Ensure comprehensive and accurate financial reporting for projects.
  • Utilize expertise in reporting and forecasting systems such as Power BI, PRISM, or similar.
  • Maintain financial discipline and provide accurate forecasting to support project success.
  • Provide strategic support and guidance in managing and prioritizing the workload of commercial and contract administration teams.
  • Support the team through periods of business change, responding to evolving business requirements.
  • Lead the commercial function's direction, endorsing or opposing practices as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal, or a related field.
  • Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) qualification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of commercial construction delivery experience, ideally with both contractor and consultancy backgrounds, and experience in program-wide roles managing large commercial teams across multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in major program management, including handling multiple projects, conflicting priorities, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in the KSA/Middle East region is preferred.
  • Experience leading the Commercial Management of Major Projects within highly regulated, complex, and matrixed environments, covering the full project lifecycle from bidding through to final account.
  • Subject matter expertise in contracts, claims, and arbitration.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to various audiences and influence senior stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software, such as Prism, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and drive results.
  • Ability to manage and optimize workload effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. The role involves working within a complex, matrixed environment on major transport infrastructure projects.
