About the Role

Shade Corporation is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team for a significant project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This project-based role reports directly to the Head of the Mechanical Department and is integral to the successful execution of our engineering and construction initiatives in the region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation and a demonstrated history in designing mechanical systems, developing drawings, and managing submittals.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a range of critical tasks, including:

• Leading and contributing to the design and development of HVAC systems.
• Overseeing and managing the design and implementation of firefighting systems.
• Ensuring the effective design and integration of plumbing systems.
• Contributing to infrastructure works related to mechanical systems.
• Preparing and reviewing mechanical designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Developing and approving shop drawings for mechanical installations.
• Managing and reviewing technical submittals from vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• A minimum of 12 to 16 years of relevant professional experience is required.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems is essential.
• Strong understanding and experience with infrastructure works are necessary.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing mechanical designs, shop drawings, and technical submittals is a key requirement.
• Mandatory experience working with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or contracting companies; consultancy experience will not be considered.
• Previous working experience within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a prerequisite.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory for this role.
• Candidates must be available to join immediately or within one month.
