About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the construction delivery of hotel assets. This role is central to the development of ambitious city projects in Saudi Arabia, focusing on specific residential asset types to build deep expertise. The position involves managing the entire project lifecycle from inception to handover, ensuring delivery is timely, cost-effective, and of high quality.

Role Context and Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will set the strategic direction for project planning and execution. This includes managing all project disciplines, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards, and providing regular status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. The role requires fostering a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture, empowering teams, and conducting safety audits. You will manage team deliverables through effective leadership, setting objectives, and developing team members to maximize performance. Collaboration and interface management across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning are crucial for delivering completed assets according to approved designs, cost plans, and milestone dates. You will also manage project resources, schedules, and financials, adhering to quality and safety standards, and overseeing contractors and Delivery Partners.

Key Project Management Duties

  • Lead the coordination and interface of all disciplines to provide full oversight of project schedules, costs, risks, and quality, while identifying and managing safety risks and opportunities.
  • Approve and ensure compliance of the project execution plan across all relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide comprehensive status reports and updates to Qiddiya senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance project delivery.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Support the commercial team in budgeting and maintain stringent financial controls.
  • Foster strong collaboration and coordination across cross-functional teams and districts.
  • Oversee project interfaces within the project and manage critical interfaces with other ongoing projects.
  • Work closely with the Delivery Partner to develop annual objectives, resourcing plans, critical schedule milestones, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Drive alignment between design requirements and contractual obligations by reviewing documents, identifying gaps, and facilitating resolutions.
  • Lead reviews of design documents to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and specifications.
  • Coordinate with Qiddiya Procurement, providing input on scoping, tender reviews, and performance analysis.
  • Lead various project meetings and activities, including value engineering, problem resolution, design reviews, construction inspections, presentations, documentation checks, training, proposal evaluations, executive summary development, and contract/claims negotiations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager is required, with a proven track record of leading complex projects from initiation to closure. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential. Experience working within mega/large-scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors is necessary. Significant experience in the development, implementation, and management of business systems, including policies and procedures, is also required.
