About the Senior Specialist - Technology Procurement Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Specialist in Technology Procurement to manage and optimize the acquisition of technology products and services. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, plays a crucial role in supporting the development of a premier entertainment and cultural destination. The specialist will ensure that technology solutions are acquired in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner, fostering strong relationships with both internal departments and external technology vendors.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Specialist - Technology Procurement will oversee the complete lifecycle of technology procurement. Key duties include:

  • Managing end-to-end technology procurement processes, encompassing vendor selection, Request for Proposals (RFPs), contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
  • Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with technology suppliers to ensure consistent service quality and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring adherence to all procurement policies, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their technology needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Monitoring vendor performance and actively managing risks associated with technology procurement.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and stay abreast of emerging technology trends.
  • Preparing comprehensive procurement reports and maintaining accurate documentation and records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically in technology procurement or similar procurement roles.
  • A strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management principles, and vendor negotiation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software systems such as SAP, Ariba, or comparable platforms.
  • The ability to analyze market trends and identify cost-effective procurement solutions.
  • Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with the Saudi Arabian market and its business environment is preferred.
