About the Role

Informa PLC is seeking a Senior Startup Program Executive for a 6-month contract position based in Riyadh. This is an execution-focused role within the Investor & Startup Programs team, requiring an experienced program operator to manage and deliver startup programs with minimal supervision.

Program Strategy and Curation

The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end startup program for assigned events. This includes developing outreach and positioning strategies, managing the application pipeline from initial submission through to final selection and onboarding. The role involves defining and implementing vetting frameworks tailored to each event's audience and sector focus, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to align selection criteria and sector mandates. A key responsibility is curating the startup mix on the show floor with the commercial team to ensure strong geographic diversity, sector representation, and commercial quality.

Program Delivery and Execution

This position requires designing and delivering pre-event programming for selected startups, covering areas such as pitching skills, matchmaking strategy, and show-floor optimization. The executive will coordinate special program elements like Startup Clinics and Founders Bootcamp sessions, managing speakers, agendas, and attendee experience. Responsibilities also include building and maintaining startup onboarding documentation and communication sequences, supporting the confirmation process, and overseeing logistics such as floor plan allocation. On-site, the role involves managing concierge introductions, matchmaking zones, startup clinics, pitch sessions, and any competition-related programming. Collaboration with Operations, Production, and Design teams is essential to ensure a seamless startup zone experience.

Data Management and Improvement

Maintaining accurate startup data across internal management tools throughout the program lifecycle is crucial. The role involves tracking and reporting on key program performance indicators (KPIs), including application volume, selection rates, Net Promoter Score (NPS), matchmaking meetings, and investment conversations initiated. Post-event debriefs will be conducted to identify areas for improvement in future editions. The executive will also track and follow up with startups to capture investment outcomes, business milestones, and success stories, contributing to the enhancement of program quality.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in program management or a similar role. The ability to operate independently and execute programs from inception to completion is essential. Experience in curating and managing startup ecosystems or similar events is required.
