About the Role

Albawani is seeking a Senior Sustainability Manager Project to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the development and execution of the organization's sustainability strategy and ESG agenda. The manager will ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and international sustainability standards, driving ESG integration across business functions, overseeing sustainability performance, and leading long-term value creation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and periodically review the organization's sustainability and ESG strategy, establishing objectives, KPIs, and long-term performance targets.
• Integrate ESG principles into corporate policies, projects, and operational activities, ensuring alignment with national and international frameworks.
• Develop and maintain Sustainability Management Plans and governance frameworks, ensuring integration into business and project processes.
• Lead ESG reporting and disclosures in accordance with GRI, SASB, TCFD, and ISSB frameworks, monitoring KPIs and preparing executive-level reports.
• Oversee certification strategies and compliance for programs such as LEED and Mostadam, coordinating with consultants and stakeholders.
• Lead Net Zero and decarbonization initiatives, including carbon accounting, GHG emissions reporting, and identifying environmental performance improvements.
• Conduct sustainability and climate-related risk assessments, maintaining risk registers and mitigation plans, and escalating critical risks to leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop sustainability team members, promoting knowledge sharing and capability building.
• Lead sustainability awareness and engagement programs, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, or construction-related sectors.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability and ESG strategies.
• Extensive knowledge of sustainability governance, reporting, and disclosure requirements.
• Demonstrated experience in LEED, Mostadam, and other sustainability certification programs.
• Experience in carbon management, GHG accounting, and Net Zero initiatives.
• Strong understanding of sustainability and climate-related risk management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and strategic sustainability programs.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence organizational sustainability objectives.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, or Business Administration is preferred.
• LEED Accredited Professional certification preferred.
• Mostadam certification or equivalent preferred.
• Professional ESG-related certifications (GRI, SASB, ISSB, ESG Investing, or equivalent) are preferred.
