About the Specialist, Business Planning Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Specialist, Business Planning to support strategic initiatives and projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on maintaining planning frameworks, tracking performance, and providing insights to aid decision-making and achieve organizational objectives.

Business Planning Frameworks and Tools

This role involves supporting the development and enhancement of business planning methodologies, tools, templates, and processes, adapting them to local business requirements. The Specialist will maintain planning documentation, templates, and reporting tools to ensure consistency and adherence to organizational standards. Continuous improvement of planning frameworks and practices will be fostered through analysis and stakeholder feedback.

Execution and Coordination of Business Plans

Key responsibilities include reviewing project schedules and business plans for alignment with organizational objectives. The Specialist will assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines. Progress will be monitored against approved plans, with potential risks, issues, or deviations identified and escalated to management as needed. Coordination with stakeholders will support the timely resolution of planning and execution issues, and action items will be tracked and reported to ensure follow-up and closure within agreed timelines. Effective communication and information flow among internal and external stakeholders will be facilitated to support successful project delivery.

Governance, Reporting, and Performance Monitoring

The role supports governance activities through the preparation of reports, presentations, meeting materials, and status updates for management and stakeholders. Project and business performance data will be consolidated from multiple sources to provide accurate and timely reporting. Compliance with established planning processes, governance requirements, and organizational standards will be monitored. Project and business planning records will be maintained to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Performance metrics and trends will be analyzed to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Accountabilities and Skills

The Specialist is expected to perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets within delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively for efficient cost and time achievement. Periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks will be provided. The role requires the ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job, solve related problems, and escalate complex operational issues. Ensuring quality requirements for effective control processes, including specifications for products or processes, is also a key accountability. The Specialist will coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities, and comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions. Compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity is essential.
