About the Role

Catrion Group is seeking a Specialist, Food Safety & Quality Assurance to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and focuses on monitoring and ensuring food safety and quality standards across various operational units.

Role Overview

The Specialist, Food Safety & Quality Assurance will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining food safety and quality assurance activities within the department and associated outlets, including ramp offices, canteens, camp kitchens, and Al Fursan lounges. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to address and resolve any food safety and quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain all food safety and quality assurance records meticulously.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager to resolve food safety and quality assurance issues.
• Train and evaluate new Quality Control staff, submitting necessary reports.
• Liaise with different sections of the unit to address food safety and quality assurance concerns based on daily hygiene assessments.
• Prepare rosters to ensure 24-hour coverage of food safety and quality assurance activities.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager regarding the annual department budget.
• Ensure the optimal use of stationery, printing supplies, office supplies, and laboratory chemicals.
• Act as Site Manager during their absence, as delegated.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare reports.
• Identify and address safety training needs in the workplace.
• Maintain awareness of active and developing safety situations.
• Assist accident investigation teams.
• Conduct on-the-job training, toolbox talks, and safety brief awareness sessions.
• Inspect the site to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Verify the adequacy and safety of all tools and equipment.
• Promote safe practices at the job site and enforce safety guidelines.
• Respond to employee safety concerns.
• Cover different locations as required by work needs.
• Monitor and maintain pest control activities conducted by the contractor.
• Ensure laboratory-related activities, including sample drawing (food, water, handprints, cleaning controls), are conducted regularly by on-duty Quality Controllers.
• Investigate customer complaints with respective departments, providing comprehensive feedback and corrective actions.
• Provide new hire training, refresher training, and on-the-job training for all food handlers.
• Liaise with the medical department for food handler certificates, staff clearance, and infection control.
• Conduct follow-up hygiene inspections of supplier premises and outlets as assigned.
• Complete any other related tasks assigned by the Site Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to effectively monitor and enforce safety and quality standards.
