About the Specification Manager Role

Jotun Middle East, India and Africa (MEIA) is seeking a Specification Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves managing project specifications to ensure Jotun is the preferred paint supplier for targeted projects. The role reports to the Country Sales Manager – Project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with project owners, consultants, architects, and developers to influence early-stage specifications and secure long-term business.
  • Lead, manage, and coach the specification team, setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Drive specification activities by identifying, mapping, and targeting key projects to ensure company products are specified and approved.
  • Manage and coordinate project tender processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and competitive submissions to maximize win rates.
  • Collaborate with the sales team by sharing project intelligence, specification updates, and pipeline insights to ensure alignment and successful project conversion.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming opportunities to maintain a robust project pipeline and inform proactive decision-making.
  • Analyze construction and coatings industry dynamics to strengthen market positioning and promote company solutions.
  • Build and expand a professional network within the construction sector to influence decision-makers and drive specification approvals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Architecture, or Business Development.
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience in Specification or Projects Sales within the building and construction industry.
  • Fluency in both English and Arabic.
