About the Role

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Policy Manager, Middle East to lead policy engagement and stakeholder relations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and key regional markets. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, reports to the Director of International Policy and Public Affairs in Brussels, Belgium. The role is integral to supporting Lucid's commercial, regulatory, and industrial objectives through strategic policy development and execution.

Role Overview and Objectives

This position serves as Lucid's primary policy representative in the Middle East, focusing on developing and implementing strategies that align with the company's business priorities. The successful candidate will build and maintain relationships with government entities, advise internal leadership on policy dynamics, and proactively shape regulatory environments to support electric vehicle adoption and Lucid's broader business interests. The role requires a pragmatic, collaborative professional capable of operating effectively within a structured global organization and delivering results under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead policy representative for Lucid in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and priority Middle East markets, acting as the main point of contact for government ministries, regulators, and key stakeholders.
  • Execute Lucid’s regional policy strategy in close collaboration with commercial, product, supply chain, and leadership teams.
  • Cultivate and sustain senior-level relationships with government officials, diplomatic corps, industry associations, and think tanks.
  • Monitor and anticipate regulatory developments in the region, providing early warnings and actionable recommendations to the Director of International Policy and Public Affairs and Lucid's executive team regarding emerging or potentially impactful regulations.
  • Prepare high-quality policy materials and executive briefings.
  • Represent Lucid in external coalitions and industry bodies to advocate for electric vehicle and sustainability policy priorities.
  • Ensure alignment among internal stakeholders and consistency in policy approaches across Middle East markets.
  • Support the continuity and strengthening of existing stakeholder relationships and ongoing policy priorities in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, law, communications, international relations, public policy, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory advocacy.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscapes in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, including international trade, automotive, energy, data privacy, and cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with relevant government and regulatory frameworks, key stakeholders, policies, and laws in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging government stakeholders and advising senior leadership.
  • Ability to operate effectively within complex, multicultural, and matrixed organizations.
  • Native Arabic speaker with strong English proficiency is required. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
