Webook is seeking a Technical Lead to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves leading a squad, owning system design, ensuring code quality, and maintaining engineering standards. The Technical Lead will contribute to transforming lives through impactful work within a team focused on innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the technical leader for your squad, owning system design, code quality, and engineering standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase as needed, particularly for complex or high-impact areas.
• Review code, guide architectural decisions, and ensure best practices in testing, documentation, and observability.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term system health and sustainability.
• Lead, mentor, and support software engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Own end-to-end execution for your team’s deliverables, from planning to production.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure production readiness, performance, and reliability of owned services.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and post-mortems.
• Continuously improve development workflows, tooling, and team productivity.
• Leverage AI and automation to enhance engineering efficiency and product quality where possible.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience delivering high-traffic, mission-critical platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience contributing to open-source projects or technical thought leadership is an advantage.
