About the Role

Red Hat's Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Services team is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join their operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position will manage services projects across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Iraq, with potential for travel as required. This role is specifically for Saudi Nationals.

Role Overview

In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of services projects, from initiation to delivery and closure. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, establish key project metrics, and manage all project economics, including costs, budgets, staffing, resources, and risks. A key aspect of this position involves fostering an organizational project management discipline and promoting the adoption of project management fundamentals and methodologies within Red Hat's services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for Red Hat's services projects with minimal supervision.
  • Manage project requirements, scope, and change control processes, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate the development of project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking using various project management tools.
  • Collaborate with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules, contributing to the estimation process.
  • Plan, schedule, monitor, and report on project activities, including subcontractor oversight.
  • Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria, develop project control and reporting procedures, and manage changes to operational plans.
  • Participate in status review meetings with project teams and customers.
  • Ensure timely submission of weekly timesheets and timecards.
  • Integrate and apply industry-specific and technical delivery methodologies, including Project Management Institute (PMI and PMP) standards, Red Hat's services project management methodology, and software/product development lifecycles.
  • Assist in training project teams on applicable procedures and processes, coaching associates on achieving project goals, meeting schedules, and resolving technical or operational issues.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in a project management role, specifically managing IT-based projects.
  • A proven record of successfully managing highly complex projects and multicultural or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in establishing and contributing to process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical skills, and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse management team and a broad spectrum of internal partners independently.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • A good balance of business and technical experience.
  • Ability to articulate the value proposition of project management.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI and PMP certifications, or a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, middleware, and open source.
